Sugar Scars is a bi-national musical project consisting of a couple of multi-instrumentalists, DJs, and producers that reside in the neighboring cities of Juarez, Mexico, and El Paso, Texas. Since coming together to work on their art, Sugar Scars has embodied their diverse origins to create an inimitable sound that is guaranteed to entice fans. Sugar Scars blends various types of electronic sounds, psychedelic tunes, and shoegaze to bring something unexplainable into the limelight. Though the group continues to fine-tune its act as they prepare to launch their first album, they assure consumers of quality work that is original and modern for both sides of the border.

Prepare to be swallowed whole by “Haight,” the first single from Sugar Scars’ hotly anticipated album that will surely impress! Its spellbinding blend of synth and guitar interplays, four on the floor beats, and haunting vocals soaked in psychedelic-delay reverb tantalize the listener’s senses. Spending years writing and performing as a child, Long Beach native Naomi Cheyanne was recognized for her talents early on. Immersing herself in RnB and Pop genres, Cheyanne’s distinct vocal melodies and intuitive lyricism was easily admired by listeners. Fueling her passion for writing and recording, Cheyanne started an independent music production company known as Smug Sounds in 2020 helping thousands of independent artists through songwriting, music production, marketing and playlist curating.
