Each Measure Feature: Reetoxa

ReeToxA has just released their second album and it just might be the best album to throw on this spring. This album fluctuates between two different vibes. Some of the songs have that classic rock feel to them like “REETOXA” or “PURPLE VEIN.” Meanwhile, other tracks are more mellow like “YOU DESERVE BETTER THAN ME.” By blending these two vibes throughout the 26 track album, it just feels perfectly balanced. Sometimes it can feel draining going from one high energy song to the next after a while but ReeToxA must have had this in mind when crafting this album. 

The slower paced songs are perfectly placed in the album’s line-up to give listeners that perfect break between the more energetic songs. It is almost like the more mellow songs are there as intermissions, giving you time to rest up a bit and collect yourself before diving back into guitar riffs and powerful vocals. This is why I think that this album makes for a great album to put on for guests at a house party. It will not only get them dancing along to songs like “DRESS ME UP” or rocking out to songs like “THRIFT SHOP DRESS”, but also provide perfect songs to accompany moments of conversation and catching up.

I am also impressed with the wide variety of topics that ReToxA covers across the albums. They do not leave any emotion off the table covering everything from love to heartbreak to a night out. This is an album I strongly encourage you to throw on and just enjoy yourself. I truly believe that there is something for everyone on this album showcasing the musical talent of ReToxA.
