“All Day” by Mr. Rockstar is a grungy, rap track designed to hype you up. The beat is infectious with a blend of 808’s and electric guitar. But what really gives this song its energy is the rapping. Mr. Rockstar starts off with a slower rhythm, as if warming you up. As the song goes on, he gets more aggressive which breathes new life into the song carrying on the hype. About halfway through you’ll find yourself ready to take on whatever the day has in store for you as long as this song is playing in the background. 

Breaking away from the intense verses is the catchy chorus. For this, Mr. Rockstar uses autotune to great effect. I know that some aren’t the biggest fan of this editing technique but T-Pain taught us all that autotune is simply an instrument to help elevate certain songs. “All Day” is another example of this. It’s catchy, simple, and what more could you want from a hype, rap track? 

As for the lyrics, they are raw and unedited, telling the listeners the truth of Mr. Rockstar. He doesn’t hold anything back and tells the story of himself through the verses. I have always believed that an honest song is a great one and so I for one appreciate the lyrics of Mr. Rockstar.
