Each Measure Feature: J.J. Chamberlain

FEATURE

Meet J.J. Chamberlain, a songwriter and musician from the cobblestone streets of York. While J.J. is mainly known for his solo work in the York music scene, he is also a songwriter for the band Box Time and plays lead guitar for Love Barons. He has recently completed a mini UK tour, doing shows from London to Liverpool, and plans to expand even farther in 2024. His influences came from early 90s alternative rock, new wave, and grunge. He is here to give us the first single off his upcoming debut album, and it's a record you won't regret pressing play on.

“Eyeballs” is a shiny, shimmery, introspective Indie pop anthem that perfectly sums up the spirit of this summer. J.J. Chamberlain plays the acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, and vocals on the record. He collaborated with the talented Takashi Takemura from Atlanta, GA; his contribution on the drums and percussion really tied the record together. Full of lively guitars and an energetic rhythm section, this song is full of catchy magic and unforgettable fragments. Its replay value makes it feel like a summer banger you can’t afford to overlook.
