Each Measure Feature: Friend of a Friend

FEATURE

Friend of a Friend is an American duo comprised of Claire Molek and Jason Savsani. Their union in 2020 was something inevitible and described as “supernatural.” The band has not looked back and has gone on to create and perform a mix of folk, post and art rock that has touched listeners all across the globe. Friend of a Friend is well-acclaimed for their live performances and the physicality of their shows. From the shores of California to the bustling streets of Europe, a totally earned reputation as the next huge thing in indie rock is well-earned. Friend of a Friend takes to the stage to invite audiences on an internal quest with us.

FACILITIES, the American duo’s second album, was recorded in a remote studio in the heart of California’s Joshua Tree with producer Jordan Lawlor. A transformative innovation that reimagines modern music, the album is a remarkable sonic adventure. The album’s folk and rock influences provide a spiritual and dreamy experience that will compel listeners to keep listening. A standout track is Nothingforme, which has an incredible drum groove and powerful vocal. The production builds and teeters into a peak climax, which then falls into a beautiful ethereal vocal breakdown. A must-listen for fans of musicianship and originality. We are keeping a close eye on this duo and are beyond excited about what is to come.
